Use the speaker out. More power = less latency.

I find it funny that Slithers authentic tone is called "Holy Water" :laugh2:
Edit*
Heres another video of a sightread to show how more notes are added excuse the missed notes first time with this song. :laugh2:

I'd think a wireless headset would be the last thing you'd want to use with audio latency issues.

Please, everyone use tab view (low E string at the bottom). It will save you a lot of greif in the future.

Damn.... The more I hear about this game the more excited I am to get hold of it... I do not really play XBox at all but this might be worth buying all the same.

There's no online multiplayer and you would have to have another guitar and cable to play at home. I guess no one has gotten around to doing it yet.

Shame none of us have more than one guitar.

:)

I am sure someone will get around to it.

I had a good laugh when I saw this while I was looking up some review of this game.

I played rs for about 65 hours last night. There is a bit of a learning curve but its great fun. The riff looper games are great for nailing the songs. I had trouble with some of the more obscure songs so far mostly because ive never heard them so im playing completely by sight.

My favorite that i have at 95% is mean bitch, i just like that song and its not my typical style. So far im just grinding through the songs and i will master them all later, i want to hear them all and unlock everything i can. Im a local headliner now, im kind of a big deal....lol

These carry audio...

Xbox360_Component_Cable.jpg

Or you can cut up the end of that cable that goes into the xbox, plug the two audio cables into your audio system, get your hdmi cable into your tv and you get the best of both worlds. HDMI video and audio from your real sound system....that is what I have done and no lag.

Just take care in taking the end (xbox end) apart...there are lots of little bits in there.

Why Microsoft put that connector right next to the hdmi connector is a puzzle to me....stupid microsoft.

But trust me this way works great.

I did not pick the game yet... the reason is simple: NOT sure which version to get...

I have both PS3 and Xbox 360S (newer version)...

both are connected to my DLP tv via HDMI... no home theater sound system... I am getting worry about the claimed lag, so I do not know if either system would be the same or if one would be better than the other...

I know I could buy (although I don't want to) the analog RCA cables, but COME ON! I bought and HDTV so I could watch tv and play games in HDTV, no go backwards in time!

Any cheaper solution available? I do have a nice computer audio system that uses RCA inputs, are the adaptors for sound cheap? cheaper for xbox or ps3?

Thanks!

Omar

I have both as well, and was on the fence as to what to get...went with the xbox as I just use the xbox more then the PS3...for me the PS3 is really just a blue ray player.

With the setup I have in the above post I just hooked everything up and away I went....no lag at all...just out of the box and go.

I have an OLD xbox360.

I have a very slight latency and I havent corrected anything yet, and its so minute that even if I cant correct it, its not bad enough to be a deal breaker.

I also wanted to add if you havent sat down and played guitar for 6 hours straight in the few years, your fingers are going to be sore as hell...lol
