remind you of an old favorite you hadn't heard for years or even decades. Oddly enough I thank Allstate Insurance for this Smokey Robinson classic. I'm not so much a rock guy as I am an R+B and funk guy. To me this music is pure joy.

Smokey was a powerhouse of talent.

Also wrote and produced songs for many of the Motown crew.

You can hear his writing style in a lot of Motown bands.

I have the Temps "Since I Lost My Baby" on a playlist, and when it comes on, I can hear Smokey all over that song.

Anybody have any idea who played guitar on this track? I tried searching but can't come up with anything. I suppose it could be a member of The Funk Brothers.

If not one of the Funk Brothers, the guitarist bears a resemblance to Cornell Dupree (Rainy Night In Georgia)
