Anderson’s have now also removed it from their website. What an absolute shower of shit. Epiphone should be ashamed of how they have messed up this product launch.

Yes. considering some have been let out. Here in Canada they are scheduled to arrive at Yorkville (Gibson distributor) on the 14th August. As of this Wednesday week that was still the same. They would then send them out to Long and Mcquade stores throughout Canada. I'm wondering now if they will hold them until the green light from Gibson???

It's a piss poor sales and marketing plan though.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing! I have a wood library 594 with a Brazilian board and it's one of the nicest guitars I've ever put my hands on.

I bought a Core Custom 22 last August. THE BEST guitar I have ever owned and played. It's flawless. Perfectly balanced, comfortable, neck shape, fit and finish, trem system works amazing and love the sound of the pickups. Of course it's all subjective to personal choice...but I would highly recommend to any guitar player if possible, if you get chance, try a Core model.

And guys, I know they cost a lot so before I get responded with "they cost too much", "overrated" etc etc...as I said above subjective personal choice....

I own Gibson, Epiphones, Ibanez too..no bias here! :)

So back to waiting for my '59 Epi....

Hey Seven, sorry you're having problems, I'm sure they'll get you straight. Are you gonna send it back and take a chance you'll get an even better top? Or are you going to have it repaired? I hope it gets resolved quickly. I am going to use my HP camera to take some better pictures so Street Lethal will realize I wouldn't accept a top with wash out spots in the flame. What's funny is the spot he says is washed out has the best flames on the top, haha. It didn't show up at the angle I took the photos from.

Peace, good luck Seven, I'm sure it'll work out great for you.

So, were these suppose to get a COA or not?
I thought Lee Anderton said they came with one, but I'd have to watch the video again. I cannot tell the board isn't Rosewood, it does not look like any Laurel I have seen. But, My action is so low that the neck pickup is level with the ring. I'm going to get some Gibson rings to fix that, the only issue other than the person forgetting to crimp down the bushing on the bridge volume. I was so busy I didn't have time to plug it in, but will once my Uncle wakes up. I hope it doesn't have any wiring problems. I guess the Chinese guitar Mills don't have much experience with 50's wiring!!! I hope there's supposed to be a COA, I'll make sure to get one if so!
Peace, K`

I don't think Gibson rings mounting holes will line up with the Epi's.

I doubt they will, if the Gibson rings will at least cover the screw holes, I'll fill the old holes, and drill for the new rings. But only if they're covered!!!

I could also sand about 1/8 of an inch, maybe a little more, and that would probably make them fit a lot better. I'm gonna get my Luthier to fix it one way or another.

Can we get a closer up shot of the pick ups/rings?

Sure High flyer, I'm going to take some photos of the " Washed out" flames a little later, and will take close ups of the rings as well. If my uncle has a caliper, I'll give the neck dimensions as well. It seems like a slim c shape with shoulders that are unlike 99% of the Epis I'd played which get bigger all the way to the board, but this neck actually feels like a 60's Gibson. It's as comfortable to me as any neck I've had!

This is guy is still babbling. I couldn't care less if your top has washout or not, in fact I don't don't care if you take photos of it. It was just an observation. I hope it's the best guitar that was ever made in the history of guitars.

Enjoy.

The Gibson rings are definitely a little smaller, length and width. I have heard of people plugging the original holes and re-drilling to make them fit, seems like a lot of work to me.

Seriously man, drop this stuff. It is starting to look like you have a hardon for this guy. For somebody that keeps claiming you don’t care, you seem to care a lot.

You're being really defensive about the washed out flame thing. I have a guitar that has a spot in the flame that's washed out. I get that you are saying yours doesn't but it wouldn't be a big deal if it did. It's wood and sometimes nature makes it that way.
