My Epiphone '56 Les Paul PRO Goldtop!

Pickups have been replaced with Don Grosh pickups.

Wiring has been completely replaced with 50s wiring and heavily upgraded pots and components.

A zero fret nut has been installed, and it has Kluson style tuners.

Love mah baby!

A beauty. You should do the same with your 01 MIK Standard. I hate white plastic.

pickup trim and poker chip is not as white as pic shows...actually more creamy.
Works well with aged pickup covers and hardware

I Love black trim when possible....
The red one in the pics above came stock with all black trim Except for a 'Silver' pickguard which was immediately replaced lol.
Looking at MIK LP \ Cat pic i posted above I can not envision black trim on that one
Appreciate the thought tho !

I figured, it might help him see the light.

Here's my before and (deblinged) after Ultra 1. Gold is all gone and I even went to the extent of getting rid of the plasticky shine. Feels real nice.

In that way, I think the de-bling and de-glossing is better. But there is just something about a good looking gloss.

I am not against a nice glossy guitar.

Though a ding or scratch can be catastrophic on it.

My Ultra was described as a rococco guitar by my wife when she saw it first. The only guitar she ever commented on. That stuck in my brain, so I had to tone it down. And I'm not big on gold hardware.

I'm with you on the gold hardware.
