Partly it was corporate interest for more profits, partly it was interest in China's vast market, partly it was consumer interest in low cost, partly it was gov't policies that raised the cost of doing business in the US and gov't policies that pushed dirty manufacturing off shore and partly it was just plain old economics...namely the Ricardo theory on competitive advantage.

It's waaaaaay to simple to just blame it on corporate greed.

You left out Labor Unions.....

Example.....In 2010....October to be exact. The US put a heavy import tariff on Aluminum Extrusion .....In theory this was to level playing field and bring those jobs home ......which it did, instantly......here is what ensued.....

The domestic extruders were booked beyond capacity and began raising prices.......then the Unions stepped in and negotiated higher wages etc......we want ours etc.

With that occurring, little $$ was reinvested by the domestic extruders to add jobs or larger facilities.....

With prices spiking, wholesalers found work arounds to avoid tariffs and extrusion was rapidly moved off shore again......

Same old same old....

I'm in Hutto but work in North Austin. The biggest problem is trying to find food on a regular basis.

HEB has gone on lockdown, but Target has everything I need and no lines at all.

If you suspect a false negative, have the test redone ASAP.

If you haven't done so yet, call your primary care physician and let them know what's going on.

How was the blood oxygenation?

If you are at home, I’d buy a pulse oximeter to check your blood SpO2 levels. It’s a cheap device, but it’s telling you what’s really happening to the lungs. Acceptable normal ranges for patients without pulmonary pathology are from 95 to 99 percent. If you have lower than that, then covid or not, you need to be checked. If you are in the range, as I think you are, you’ll be fine.

Get well soon man!

i dont know if you are a medical professional but under 95 isnt the end of the wold....(ediit removed range) from what i have been told...i have a pulse ox and is is a great little item to have around...., my opinion

if pulse ox is under 95% on room air, then one should be on supplemental oxygen.

Monday driving back home to Fort Worth from Bryant , AR, I experienced a dramatic and sudden downturn in health. I had serious problem breathing, cold as ice and trembling out of control.
I stopped at Baptist Hospital in Arkadelphia. The emergency room took me in quickly when they saw me.

My vitals were all out of whack. Temp jumped to 103 fast. The staff worked on me day & night. 24 needle puncture holes in my arms.

Tested for covid-19. Results received back Thursday. Negative for the virus. I'm self-isolated.

Now I worry. Was the test a false negative. Was the test part of the bad batch.

I'm only 40% recovered. Feel like a semi hit me, then a pick up rolled over me.

Everyone, please take what is happening seriously. Protect yourself, your family and your home. This could get unreal.
My wife shoots better than me. She gets the 357. I get the .40.

I hope you are not in California with the lockdown.

Be safe.
While I can’t be positive you have Corona, you’ve definitely come to the right place for a diagnosis.

Good luck

How is hypoxia and/or hypoxemia diagnosed?

In general, an individual patient’s hypoxemia is usually diagnosed by oxygen monitors placed on fingers or ears (pulse oximeter) and/or by determining the oxygen level in a blood gas sample (a sample of blood taken from an artery). Normal readings are about 94% to 99% oxygen saturation levels; generally, oxygen is supplied if the level is about 92% or below.

Which HEB the Pflugerville one? Target didn't have anything the other night. If you don't get there in the morning you're SOL.
