I know I know! I meant that I'm more into the 80's Marshall sound than the 60's and 70's one. More of a JCM800 guy than a Plexi fan, but love everything Marshall :thumb:

Yeah, some carvin X100b fans on MLP... the one time I considered quitting the forum for good was when someone said something positive about an X100b...

Yeah, I mean it's just cool to have that full head and 4x12... but it's not practical. I can always keep the Carvin and make it look like I have a "big amp". But I wanna sell the damn thing to at least cover a part of the SJ.

I never had a 4 x 12, but a 2 x 12. That got old lugging that thing around along with the Ampeg V4 head (100 watts of course). And I was young and fairly strong. Enter the Boogie ...

Good point on covering the cost of new toys with your dear old Carvin. You know you'll miss it ...

Oh, white tolex on a Marshall? Black or go home. imwo ...

Cats are much more dignified IMHO.....

Oh I like cats too. Dogs give you that full unconditional love cats do not. I know my Kitty really bonded with me in her own way. She used to occasionally bite my ex. Good Kitty ....

Dignified? You mean the way they plot your death? Allow you to live in their home?

Cats are easily my favorite animals. They're adorable, fluffy sociopaths.

I love dogs ...

You have goldfish?
Yes! Big ones! They were carnival ring toss goldfish when they were given to me. Tiny little buggers that fit in those little glass bowls.

Just feeder goldfish, cheap, not fancy, no guarantee how long they would live, but they lived and grew to about as big as my hand!

A few have died over the years, but I still have two monsters and bought a new grey Koi to go along with them.

Got a great Christmas present from my wife when she agreed to let me buy a big 65 gallon tank for them at the local Petsmart.

They were really outgrowing the 22 gallon one we had.

They were blowing it out the door because it had a chip in the glass on a back corner edge about halfway up.

Having grown up around fish tanks and understanding a little bit of engineering I could tell it was not a fatal chip. Didn't go through to the sealant!

So we took it home complete with glass top lid, full length light, a wooden base cabinet for 100 bucks.

They were selling just the light alone for 130 bucks! So I did good.

About a 400 dollar package.

Broke my heart when a while back my biggest and prettiest goldfish just up and died overnight....

The picture doesn't do justice to his size. That's a 5 quart bucket!

The top of that bucket is about a foot across and about 10 inches across the bottom!

And he still hit the sides!

He (or she) was the most interactive, happy and wiggly fish I had.

Beautiful full fantail with perfect gold and white coloring highlights.

That's a big, pretty goldfish. I never knew they could get so big.

I love fish and water, yet I moved from Florida to a landlocked state... :hmm:

Oh I know they get quite large if kept well. You did a nice thing by giving fishy a long happy life.

There was a river/stream intersection fishing spot I used to frequent that had several large goldfish hanging out there. Probably in the 30 cm range. Definitely not a native fish - I assumed they were pets at one time.

Sorry to hear about your big gold fish Darrell, I used to have Oscars, outgrew the 10 22, and 50 galon tanks I had to get a hundred too... they were so tame I could take them for walks to the bathroom when I cleaned the tank... I gave them to a friend when a job took me away for 6 months... I think they are still alive at 35 years... Probably in a 200 by now..
