It's been a while since i bought my gibson standard faded, in fact a whole year. I've really given it a chance but now im starting to realize it wasn't worth the money. There are flaws on the guitar and when it's unplugged it feels like some shitty copy les paul because there is no wood in it ( fuck chambering ).
I don't think i will sell it because i think i will loose to much money. After all i've only been playing for 2½ years.
I tried a traditional and omfg, it felt like being in heaven compared to my faded.
Don't buy the cheapest gibby. They suck. Tried some juniors and melody makers too... they felt worse than squiers -.- .

Instant beef isn't always a good thing when it comes to chambering... a nice salad sprinkled liberally with lead paint chips is easier to polish.

have you considered swapping the pups?
I ask this because I own 2 chambered lp's, 1 I like, 1 I dont
like. And the one I dont like has nothing to do with it being chambered, it
the pups.

That's the best advice you'll get, there's nothing wrong with the guitar itself - change the pickups and possibly the wiring/pots to suit your style.

If you sell, don't do it locally. Because its a guarantee that some guy is going to show up, strap it on and prove to you that it wasn't the guitar.

completely agree-so whatever you do, don't stop playing it because it sucks. I've been gasing for a gibson for a while now but I'll play the shit out of the Epi.

Rediculous post IMO. Why exactly did you buy it in the first place? Whatever the case may be it's noone's fault but yours. With that being said, either stop whining, keep it, and appreciate it for what it is or sell it and save for a non chambered model.

My chambered LP is better than every LP Traditional Gibson's made and I'd put money on it.
