Roy Acuffe spotted her backstage at the Opry and asked her to appear on the Earnest Tubb Midnight Jamboree and the rest is history....
She tells about her 'Cinderella dream' here....

And here she is at her debut at 12 years old...

I would bet if she were to be born today she would be diagnosed with some type of ADHD! But she learned to harness it into her banjo playing..

She said as a youngster she loved to pick, and would go out and play for the goats when other folks didn't want to hear her anymore....
