Back to the "white glove" question . IIRC those came with a Black Beauty RI .... A special run as I recall.

Collecting ? Having/ Buying Multi Gibson Les Paul's (say after 2 ), played or not ., Makes you a collector ,imo . The scale of how many get collected seems to be the question ...
Using it , might be smarter, since It loses value anyway . Might as well enjoy what is was made to do , since you have it anyway...

yes, with the 20th Anniversary Custom Reissue in 2013. Why it was called 20th anni is beyond my knowledge. A pair of gloves also came with the Murphy painted RIs 2 or 3 years ago together with a framed COA. Joff will no more exactly, he had one of those

I totally disagree with this. By your definition, I collect shirts and pants. Collections don't do anything. People who use all their guitars regularly, be it two or twenty, aren't collecting them.

I do not consider myself a collector for future profit but I do have 13 guitars at the moment so I guess in a way I am a collector. I just love guitars.

All mine do get played though, depending on my mood. None of them sit untouched for very long.

Tim , you don't have to go in with the Mindset of Stocking "X" of many things to have a collection of them ,,, But maybe look at this way ...
If you invited some friends over and 1 of them brought a friend or two with them , and you all went into your music room to play some guitars,,, What do you think they would call the gaggle of guitars you own ???
A Collection of guitars???
What do you call it ????

Or is it just, thinking that only those who have so/to much $$$ . They put it into guitars since they have nothing more to do with it ? Or Rich and not wanting to admit (to yourself) you can afford to indulge in things like that now .... . No shame in having the means to enjoy life and the things money can buy.
