The things that amazes me about the scammers is the amount of time some of them invest. If you calculate the return on the time invested in creating an building and entirely fictitious persona I think you're having to be pulling in some pretty big gear to make it worthwhile. But maybe the motivation is just the act of being given something, not the actual dollar value. Who knows.

But hours upon hours on a message board to scam someone out of a $500 guitar or whatever. Really? Spend a fraction of that flipping burgers and buy several?
