I was in scouts as a kid and loved the outdoors, but these days I'm a white collar worker. I still get out for short hikes, kayaking etc, but not nearly as much as I would like.
Anyway, taking my 7 year old (well, NEARLY 7) on his first camping trip this weekend I hope, so I figured I'd make him a paracord bracelet thing. It's pretty short, won't be long enough to be incredibly useful for him, and at 7 I hope he never needs to use it for anything
but I figure it'll be a fun learning tool all the same to build a little awareness. Just a lanyard knot type thing to keep it on his wrist. If it falls of I'm out about 2 feet of paracord, no big loss. He's at him mum's so I'm not totally sure if it's long enough, I guess I'll find out. I suspect I may need to move the lanyard knot further down.
Hopefully it'll keep his mind off Minecraft for a little while!
I know some folks do some great work with paracord. Any of you guys make your own stuff? It was actually a good bit of fun.
