For many years I have been a humongous fan of the Python gang. My pop got me into them at a young age, and I have never seen anything on TV that has even come close to doing what those 5 spaced out Brits and 1 spaced out American did almost 40 years ago. There's no amount of thought and reason that could explain why a large man slapping a small man into a river with a giant fish is so insanely hilarious, but if you don't think it is you're dead inside.

These are but a few minutes of the many hours of joy the crazy bastards have brought me...enjoy!

Oh Yeah Python are Classic and timeless. Not many Americans will know this, but Python based much of their humour on a show that used to be very big over here in the 50's on the radio called the Goon show.

You can see who Vasco based himself on in the Vid below.:laugh2:

These are the guys Python based their humour on. Originally as I said they were very big on radio in the 50's, but it didn't really work with the advent of TV.
Here you can see a very young John Cleese introducing a first airing on TV.

Cleese and the rest of the team then went on to make the first Python series, in which they developed the goon show lunacy and adapted it more for the visual format of TV.

Listen to the script ( Rather than watch ) and it's sheer lunacy and you'll hear the origins of Python. Notice Cleese is not one of the stars and is only narrating. You really must inderstand the goon show mentality and it's radio success in the UK before you can appreciate Python's development and roots.

Spike Milligan, Peter Cook, and Dudley Moore, right?

Yes as General Dissaray said. The Goons were Spike Milligan..Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers.
However in the early goon shows on radio, there where originally four. The other was Michael Bentine, but he left during their early days.

Here's Michael Bentine

He went on to do kids shows.
