I was at the big Lima Ohio dog trials yesterday. For those who dont know its a HUGE gun show /flea market. saw several guitars, 3 I would have bought if I had the extra cash. peavey telecaster (cant recall the name of em) in a nice case for 200 bucks guy was offering to negotiate the price before I even picked it up. second one was a washburn hb35 very nice condition for 300 again negotiable. but the one I had never seen before was an Ibanez telecaster. strings and frets were corroded, but the guitar wasnt beat up at all. the guy and his buddy kept teling me how nice it played and sounded. I dont see how they knew. because the strings felt like it had set for years.

Ibanez has copied every guitar. But they have also designed some fine guitars of their own.

Some of the best playing/sounding strats and teles I`ve owned were 70`s Ibanez.
I wish I still had a few of them.

They are the ones that the Lawsuit by Gibson only named Ibanez. The others just ran like the rats they were. Now they make some good guitars. I hate three made in China around 2007 - 2009 and they were as bad as they get. The stuff made in Japan are great, I thought the quality was up there with Gibson.

Decades back when I worked at my big bro's shop, we sold some Ibanez...

They copied about every guitar with every option on the planet...

Amazing quality though.....

No kevinpaul, it wasn't Ibanez. it was Elgar who imported Ibanez into the states, who was the main target of the lawsuit.

Aria, Electra and Ibanez were probably the most common brands during the 1970s to do those Fender copies. I believe some even had 24 3/4 neck scales.
