Is it ok if we have an official sandwich thread? I like ALL the sandwiches myself, subs/hoagies/grinders included. Post 'em if ya got 'em!

Here is but one lovely specimen; the Grilled Ham & Cheese sandwich, coveted by generation upon generation:

(Perhaps not the best sandwich ever, but certainly a great start.) :)

An eternal classic: the beloved Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwich:

Signature sandwich in SW Michigan (where I live now) is a pop-tart.

Ok, I know the picture quality isn't good, but this place is lit like a bar and my old phone didn't take the best low-light pics.

The Godfather sandwich at a local joint in my town. Cotto salami, genoa salami, dry salami, mortadella, capacolla, swiss, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and their homemade Italian dressing.

These are my own, homemade roast beef sandwiches. Thinly sliced deli roast beef simmered in a little au jus. Sauteed mushrooms and onions with just a bit of bell pepper here and there. Fresh hoagie rolls from our local baker, lined with provolone cheese. Top the whole thing with mozzarella, then bake just enough to melt the cheese and crisp the outside of the bread. They're always a hit.

Interestingly in this country when we refer to sandwiches (sangers) we are talking about sliced bread or toast, not rolls.

Must be a cultural thing?
