As far as I'm concerned, Tom runs Canada. Eh? :naughty:

I run a small unincorporated hamlet in the eastern region of Lexington County.

So you're the SOB that controls the weather there!
Regarding the guitar in question, I can't tell you what it is, but I can sure tell you what it isn't.

No. You have to be in an incorporated municipality to have "weather control."

By the way, you should have come up for the Columbia show this weekend...much fun! :thumb:

Nylon 6/6 isn't UV resistant so it can turn yellow-ish. Its also been used for nuts/bolts and cable ties - which exhibit a shift in color change over time.

Up here , in the cheap seats, I didn't see any of that cherry mist in the rear pick-up cavity either. Something so 'untouched' should have that as well, no?

That looks a lot like a "Clinic" replica, so "for sale" popular at Capsule Music.

That "N" in Gibson is like the leaning tower of Piza... Quite a site in person but not for 195K...:jb:

So true about the Gibson logo...and that headstock, it's so wide, you could land an aircraft on that....:hmm:

The LPF did have some fun back and forth discussion though!

I wish that I had known about it, I'm so far out of the loop. I could have brought my POS guitar to meet yours.

I think someone made a very pretty guitar. However it seems to bear almost none of the hallmarks of anything that came out of Kalamazoo as far as I can tell, and instead has a lot more in common with the "Everything-must-be-perfect" mentality of most high end replicas. You only need to compare this to the mint 58 burst or the few other minty examples out there.

Confusing mint with perfect is a problem, because it's not mint and has several dings and checking all over. It looks lightly played and under 10 years old as opposed to 55 years old and never played. It's perfect in a replica sense, in a highly priced, commissioned, luthier built sense. A mint burst could still potentially have all the hallmarks of a friday afternoon guitar.

Tom, you really think you could convince him to do that? I'm not sure he has been west of the Mississippi. :naughty: :laugh2:

Lots of stuff look off to me, too. I love these undiscovered, "extremely clean" bursts that keep popping up and getting sold to rockstars. :hmm:

Was Paul Stanley spotted in Toronto recently ? :laugh2:

What's with the holes in the headstock ??

Sold on consignment on behalf of a Mr Justin Harrison (UK) :laugh2::laugh2:

The headstock alone is enough to convince me it's not a '60, looks like a Norlin paddle

Isnt that amazing, ALL pics have been removed inc ALL pics and comment about it on their Face Book page !........ me thinks they been exposed and quickly want to cover up the fact. Scum Bags.

Would love for that poor guy who bought it to be made aware and get the police involved. Who knows what other faked up vintage items they have sold before as real deal vintage. That is major $$$ fraud.

Or maybe they found out it was fake and took it down?

Google still has a saved cache of the original page:
