I expected to find a PCB for the electronics, but I didn't know they used 250k pots on these copies.

Also, I was reading the Tokai facts theory photos & ID thread, mine is a LS50 from 1978 (as I said before). I didn't have much time this weekend to check, but from a quick view (at home and in the shop) it seems to me that it's a 2 piece maple top, 2 piece body and 2 piece neck. I will surely try to check this asap, though.

For Sotosprince, it's a 98 LTS :)

Thank you villager, I know, but I sort of like the "deep" tone I get out of it.
Also, would changing the electronics (upgrading it, cts pot and PIO caps) lessen the guitar value?

I wouldn't think it would unless a buyer must have it all original. Just save everything you take out of it in case you need to change it back. I just completely rewired an 1980 LS80 with all vintage braided wire, CTS 500K pots, PIO caps and changed the pickups. But then I usually just buy them and play them and I don't sell them. :naughty:

Nice Goldtop, congrats!

ok I checked, 2 piece neck, 2 piece body and 2 piece top :) also, it weights 4.3kg (9lb 8oz I think..???)

Thanks everyone, if anyone has a question feel free to ask :)

Tell ya what.. I have had no less then 15 Les pauls of all types include multiple copies of Historics and a high end Replica.. My 1980 road worn Tokai 120 can run with all of them.. So much so that now I have no Gibson Les Paul branded guitars.. Only my Tokai. I'm about to refret it with some nice Jescar fret wire.
