To be honest I am not entirely sure as I am not up to speed on PPIMV vs. power scaling. Randy referred to it as power scaling in our emails but said it was accomplished by lower the voltage through a mosfet if I remember correctly so what ever you guys can make of that :laugh2:

What known amps does it compare to V2? How clean will it get?

What is this 'clean' that everyone talks about? I've never heard it, myself.
Ok, that's not true, but I have yet to try to dial in a clean sound on yer Pasadena. I'll try to do it tomorrow, if I take a break from building...

Yep, that's power scaling.

The Phaez SIBLY does surf!
Hahaha, okay maybe not traditional surf in the sense of Dick Dale BUT...here's a fun link of my band and our new album where I put the SIBLY up to the test with some surfy goodness.

I'm playing the lead riff and the lead on the following:
18Watt Phaez SIBLY
2x12 Sour Mash with Eminence Private Jack/Classic Lead 80 mix
G&L USA ASAT Classic (middle pickup for main riff, bridge for lead)
MXR Micro Amp for boosting the solo

Whangdoodle | VTO

Here's the full album if you feel like hearing other Phaez goodness: http://vtomusic.bandcamp.com

These are really fun amps and sound amazing in the studio. I tracked my parts on this entire album with the SIBLY except for two songs, "Good Stuff" and "Gnarly Bitch" where I used my '67 Fender Bassman.

Bcustomcabs,

Your timing is just a little late. I ordered that exact configuration just a few weeks ago. Now I'm just w a i t i n g for the "ready to ship" picture from Randy.

Immediate gratification from buying an already completed one would have been soooo much easier.

Good luck with the sale.

Randy, i just found out about you, and by the look sof it, you are doing pretty well!

Can you please make a Demo of an AFD 22 with a strat/tele? i think that contains my "sound" in my head :)

but yeah, keep it up!

A Daisycutter or an Asheville would be a better fit for you...Strictly my opinion.

One with a PPIMV, 6L6 or KT66, maybe with a Corona second channel.

Well guys I can say I am part of the Phaez club:dude:

Been playing my Sibly for the past couple of hours and loving every second of it. It has definitely lived up to my expectations and I haven't even really gotten started yet. Only issue is that the corner near the input got chipped during shipping but both pieces seem to be staying put for now. Randy offered to ship me a new face plate but not sure if its worth the hassle to put on at this point as I am extremely happy with the amp regardless of the cracks. Either way just wanted to say thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread as it pushed me into placing the order and a big thanks to Randy for building me such a great amp.:applause:

Excellent!! The same thing happened to the back panel of m my JTM although not as severe. I can't say that it hinders the tone though
