The Fake Epiphone Thread II

It would indeed be right... hmpf!

It would appear a possible light has appeared at the end of the tunnel - thanks to eBay's various features I have her home telephone number, thanks to this I've managed to tell her whole household that unless a refund is forthcoming I'll be handing all the details to the police.

In part I'm hoping they're planning to rob me of the guitar, because I spend about 8-10 hours every week of my life practicing a very brutal self-defense... but that's just wishful thinking.

We've arranged to meet up and exchange the guitar shaped paperweight for my money tomorrow afternoon... So we'll see.

I guess threatening those people with the police almost always works. They know that what they do is illegal and when they get caught they are willing to do a lot to avoid beeing reported. We had one case here lately where the buyer got refunded more than he paid, could keep the guitar and the seller send him an extra pair of pickups.
So, go there tomorrow, grab your money, beat 'em up, keep the guitar and hand 'em to the police anyways!
Ok seriously, I hope everything turns out good for you. And for the future, ask around here the next time you plan to buy an Epiphone.

That it possible the ugliest LP i've ever seen. Look at that awful headstock and crummy inlay. Obviously a home-modder thought it looks good to destroy an instrument.

Need more pictures than that bob, post some body shots and front and back of headstock, not blurry far away angled shots.
If it's from an ebay item and theres no other pictures then ask for more, if they refuse or don't answer then just don't buy it whatever the price.

I think the summary here is that there's no point in buying anything from fleabay - even if it isn't fake, you may always be wondering!

I got my deal sorted out ... the guy refused to give me a refund until I returned the guitar, and I refused to return the guitar until I got a refund... end result was that I complained to Amazon that their seller was shifting counterfeit goods - I got my money back from them in full and the guy was kicked off Amazon (only to return again, I'm sure).... so, I got the guitar for free!! My only regret is that the scammer got his money as did the Chinese who made it/etc.

I got mine off ebay, couldn't be happier with it, it was 20 mins drive away so i went and picked it up. If your always wondering you've obviously not posted pics to check in this thread
I'm sure Amazon will be wanting their money back so don't be too sure that he will get to keep it.

I couldn't help myself and reported the seller to ebay. It kinda pains me to see that there are gonna be more people ripped of by that guy. Damn, the Bullzeye he sells has a POKERCHIP!!!!

Take a look at the Bullzeye he's selling and compare it to the pics on the Epiphone site. His has a toggle switch plate on it, which you'll never see on a genuine Epiphone Bullzeye.

Oh, guess you can't. Just noticed that all of his listings have been removed. Guess you should contact paypal and tell 'em that the guitar you bought turned out to be a fake and that the seller has already been reported and his listings were removed by ebay.
Hmm, think you should refuse the package, but wait what the experts have to say.

well, paypal won't do anything right?
Package is insured which means paypal won't do anything?

Iv'e reported something that wasnt authentic once and paypal just said that they will look into it if another few people report the seller sells fake stuff...

Start a dispute with Paypal right away. Also start one with Ebay, they have things set in place to help people like you. Paypal automatically comes with buyer protection so you can definately get every penny of your money back. Don't let them fob you off, keep pushing until you get it back.

About getting everything back:

Should I say i didnt get it or that its fake?
Because last time I told em i received fake goods they said they don't do anything

But If i say i didnt receive it he'll simply give them the tracking number and I won't get back anything, right?
But than again if it gets sended back..oh I dont have a clue..

1). No thumbwheel screw on the Tune O matic bridge
2). Knobs not symmetrical
3). Metal flake in the paint.
Yep, Im sure its a fake.

Edit: One more thing, WHERE is the Epiphone box it supposedly came with? Its because its a FAKE that he doesnt have one.
