Phaez Amps [merged]

It's done! The Phaez Churchill:
-19.5 x 11 x 15 1/2" Baltic birch ply
-Weber Axis 10" Alnico speaker
-Mesa style black Taurus with gold piping and cane grill cloth
-Roughly 30lbs

Haven't had a chance to crank it today(my lady said it was too loud haha) but it was sounding great at low volume. Hopefully I'll get to open it up tomorrow!

The Churchill looks sweet man. I'm OCD so I would put the Phaez logo dead center, otherwise it looks great.

Yes sir!

Used it on one set only though, it sounds MUCH better through the McClane than the SIBLY.

I used the McClane/Bird combo on Friday night's gig, unfortunately this is the only pic I have from that gig....

I played a few weeks as a teen...we were poor....I didnt even have a tuner so I gave it up.

Im in my early 30s and took up playing again in my spare about 2 years ago.

I am no natural and having a minor tremor doesn't help but I love it.

Unfortunately, I have more time to talk and research gear than play. That and goofin around takes precedent over pure practice.

The way I see it....one day I will be a better player than (______).....but only cuz they will be dead and I will still be butchering their songs.

Heya, NYC . . . does one of your cabs have the Invader in it? If so (and I recall you saying one did), then it sounds freaking great. I've been on the fence about getting a pair of 'em, but every single clip I've heard of the Invader sounds excellent. I'm pretty sure Led Zep Fan has a 2x12 loaded with them, but not 100% certain.

Lemme know if you've got one loaded in one of those cabs when you have a chance before I pull the trigger. The shipping will be killer to Canada, but if they're as good as I think it'll be worth it.

Invader is great at everything...but especially leads and cleans

ASW has an 80w rating and has the Jimi Super Bass warmer sound I wanted.

I tried both in each spot and ended up this way.

Thanks, Bro! I really, really like the Invader. It sounds like a great all-around cone, but it especially suits my style to a "T". Gonna order a couple. I have a feeling they're gonna bring a few of my amps that sound "pretty darn good" into "extremely good" territory. Every clip I've heard of the Invader has impressed the heck outta me, so I think the research is bang-on.
