Got this barely used Superego on The Gear Page. I think I can figure out some cool uses for it :naughty:

Still need to figure out were to put and all... For now, on top of my power supply will do.

It has its own effects loop! Which is sweet but... it probably means I'm gonna need more pedals :naughty: Suggestions welcome. What do you guys think would work well? Vibe? Delay? Reverb? Phaser? Flanger? EQ? All of the above? Maybe a decent quality multiFX thing?

I could do some rearranging. But soon I will build my own board.

I may try some clips tomorrow, actually. I have a Presonus Firestudio and I just installed Logic on my laptop. We'll see... :fingersx: it's a little bizzare but there are a couple very neat settings.

I have not tried it before dirt yet. Interesting concept. :hmm:
I've been liking the 'latch' mode the best for 2 different things: doing pads with no dry signal and padding a chord behind some lead playing. :dude:
The auto is really strange. Not sure if I'll use that one.

mess around with it, man. i've tried it before and after dirt. i think it's currently post, but i couldn't tell you. if you get the dials set right auto starts to make sense. put it in auto and turn the dry off, speed all up, gliss where you want it and effect to maybe one. switch your delay on, and start hammering the strings and changing chords slowly. it's like a My Bloody Valentine record.

which from my viewpoint is ace! :D

Here's a couple quickies...

There are pretty subtle. I'll have to do a couple more, more drastic ones.

with the Robin using the Superego for a pad

with the SG as an organ

dj-ify, I think I hear a Wet in your rig, plus there's a quote from Neunaber in your sig ... yes? Is there a Wet in your rig?

Regardless - very nice clips - I think you bumped the SuperEgo up a bit on my own list, with those ... !

And I'm with snaredrum - details, please! How'd you do those?

You have GOT to tell me how to get the organ sound...

Thanks guys :thumb:

Yes, I have a Stereo Wet, which also supplied the fast chorus for the organ track. Love that pedal! Go getchya one ;)

For the background, droning pad thing, I go to latch mode and set it:

Just strum your drone chord and hit the switch after the attack dies down a touch.

And for the organ, use a chorus or leslie after the Superego. Go to the neck pickup and maybe even turn down your tone some. Make sure it has a little drive. Set it:

With the dry all the way down, you strum the next chord silently and then push the button for the change to take effect. Having the Speed/Layer and Gliss down all the way is a big part of the sound.

Well, I'm outta town all week AGAIN and I don't have my pedals. Maybe next weekend I'll have some more dramatic demonstrations of the Superego. :dude:

No new clips yet but I did rearrange and whipped up a 2-tier board that'll fit in my SKB bag...

Over two years with this pedal! That's gotta be a record for me
There's just nothing quite like it.
