I'm not a speaker expert but here's what I know:

- Conn / Celtron Speakers, most likely from an old organ.
- Not sure of the wattage. I haven't used them with anything higher than a 22W amp, they held up fine.
- Lower SPL than most modern speakers. Great for the home/bedroom/whatever player that wants the spread and complexity of a 12" (rather than the 8"s or 10"s usually associated with lower watt gear), without the extra volume of aftermarket speakers.
- Believe that they are 8ohm. (If anyone can talk me through verifying this with my cheapo multimeter and limited skills, I'd appreciate it).

Happy to sell them separate or together. Local pickup and international shipping available - contact me for details and arrangements.

$40 for 1, $75 for both, US shipping included, payment via PPG.

Trades? Make me an offer. Would trade straight up for a Champ 600 or maybe a Fender Greta

Set your multimeter to ohms, typically as low as possible (sub-200 ohm usually on the cheap jobbies).

Clip one lead on one speaker tab - doesn't matter which.
Clip the other lead on the other speaker tab.

If it's anywhere between @ 6.5 and 8 ohms, it's an 8 ohm speaker.

Look like nice alnico speakers, good magnet structures - looks like 1" voice coil and P12R size magnet, so would be great for tweed deluxe or other tweedy type amps.

Thanks!

So after checking with my meter, yes, they are 8 ohm speakers...

Based on the stamped numbers on the basket, 433 is the code for Cleveland, who manufactured them for Conn/Celtron. 617 = manufactured the 17th week of either '56 or '66.
I hope this helps.
