Does anyone own one? I just got mine today, and i'm blown away by how incredible it is :D I've seen an instant increase in my gaming scores, and not only that, just using it for simple typing is really satisfying. (I don't think i'll ever go back to dome/membrane type boards!)

For all my gaming needs for the past 10 years, i've been using a ZBoard (with the interchangeable keysets), which has been fantastic to me, but i felt, after 10 years, it's time for something new. I heard mechanical keyboards were the new in-thing, so i went and tried a few... i was instantly converted!

In the end, i shelled out on £130 for a Corsair K70 Vengeance (Black, red backlit), and is 100% 'Cherry MX Red' switched. *drool* (You also get Cherry MX Blue/Brown/Black, which either have a different level of resistance, audible click, or click *feel*. The Red ones are non-audible, and are non 'click', totally smooth.)

Fully changeable keys, and you get textured/contoured WASD and 1-6 keys with the set.

The keys are individually lit, and can choose which keys illuminate, and save it as presets.

Anyone else using these? Why didn't i know about them sooner? :laugh2: If you do a lot of gaming or typing, i strongly suggest trying them out. Totally worth every damn penny.

I use a Steelseries 6Gv2 with black switches; it's compact, heavy and has a real cord. Very good stuff!

Mine is a simple Dell with a chord. It's all I'll ever need. But then again, I don't play games. I'd get nothing done if I did.

Go to a used computer shop and find yourself an old IBM PS2 keyboard. The toughest keyboards ever made.

I use the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, it's a great overall keyboard, high-quality as to expect from Razer.

It's quite pricey, but I guess Razer is kind of like Gibson, you're paying more for the brand.

I work with three laptops and all have the normal keyboard. My tablet has a float in then, float out deal that is fun then floats away once it got the hang of me.

I've been using a Logitech elite LE gaming keyboard which is membrane. I've killed millions of bad guys on it over the years and never had a problem doing it. Unless you just had a total piece of turd for a keyboard, I find it hard to believe that switching keyboards could improve your gaming score immediately. I've noticed a trend in the gaming community lately of people switching to mechanical keyboards. I don't get it. I won't switch til mine breaks. It's going on 11 years strong with not one problem, and it's got nice, shiny, oily, worn spots on it from my wrists and fingers.
