Packers Denver in the super bowl. Packers win.

Alabama walks off with another national championship. And Texas A&M falls apart cause Johnny football shows up to games with a hooker

I got the Soul to win the Arenabowl and I'm pulling for the Winnipeggers to take down the Grey Cup...but I've got no educated guesses there.

Chargers. But they shook up damn near the whole organization this year (and about time!), so the rebuilding season is coming. The past 5 yrs, they've had more talent than success, so I'm used to dissapointment by now. If Rivers gets protected, we should do a lot better.
I'll be out to sea for the whole season anyway, which sucks.

I think Chelsea have a real chance at the Premier League this season with Jose Mourinho back. Look out in the Champions League as well.

Oh that football.... I can't give a crap through the pre-season. The Chiefs will be mediocre in Reid's first season at 8-8 and the Vikings will miss the playoffs at 9-7.

At the colllege level, my Kansas Jayhawks will still suck, but not as bad as recent years.

He said "Football" not "Foosball" :hmm: :laugh2:

It's almost time for the first round of preseason games.. Whose a fan around here and what do you think about this season..

Not sure about our QB yet but I hope the Titans at least look competitive. I think I am gonna go to the game next week.. I am ready for football season to get going. .

I think the Falcons win the SB..

I can't really explain why I kind of like the Titans, maybe its because when they play the Colts, they always seem to have their number and even when they should be outmatched, they give them a good game-

Bears will be, well, who knows, I have no clue what to expect of them--pretty much an entire new group of humans- Time will tell.

ND Irish will be decent and hopefully I will get to a game or two-

Colts will be good, but not great-

Thats all I got--

arena football still exists!!??? how has everyone not gone bankrupt yet?

They didn't have a season in 2009...which to the best of my knowledge is the first recorded incident of a league suspending operations for a one year that actually did just that and didn't fold...to realign.

The players salaries had gotten out of hand and there were a lot of failing franchises.

So the evaluate costs versus revenue and the league came back stronger and healthier, albeit with a very different look. Many teams were gone and some AF2 teams came into the AFL.

But it's now pretty stable and a lot of long standing franchises are still there. My only complaint is that the AFL went from ESPN to NFLNet and now it's on CBS Sports Net which I have to pay and extra $10/month to get.

Ray Rice is a bad little dude isn't he? that cat is fast and strong as a bull. I was raised around DC and loved the Skins and Giants when I was younger but I moved away and got away from liking both teams. I'd give a nut for the Browns to have a good season.

Yeah, that dude's great. I've had him on my fantasy team for the past couple years and he never disappoints.

I can't wait for the real games. A month of exhibition is nothing but a tease.

If you've seen the Chiefs lately, 8 and 8 isn't mediocre, relatively speaking to recent seasons.

8 AND 8 is the very definition of mediocre, doesn't matter how they were last year or the year before, mediocre is what it it. As Bill Parcells is famous for saying, you are what you record is, never more never less. You can't climb out of mediocre until a winning record is achieved.

9 teams have made the playoffs as 8-8 since 1990 and 3 of those teams won the wildcard (but then lost in the divisional round). So although a 8-8 team may be statistically average, it doesn't always result in a meaningless season.

Just for the record I never said anything about "meaningless" you said that. And frankly when a team gets in the playoffs with a non winning record it just shows what a sad state of affairs it really is. No team should be in the postseason at 8 and 8 and my beloved horrible not even close to mediocre Jets did it once and they didn't deserve to be there at all. There is simply no way a 10 win team that comes in second in their division should miss the playoffs where a team that wins theres at 8 and 8 does. It's a bad system that should be changed. Pure record should dictate which teams get in the playoffs, wins and losses period. If you win your division with 8 wins but another team has a better record, the team with the better record should be playing into the second season. Just my two cents of course. You will never see an 8 win team go deep into the playoffs never ever ever.

I'm a Ravens fan, but I don't have much hope for this season after the team was dismantled in the off-season.

Last season was enough to tide me over for a while.

I think the 49ers have the best chance to win the Superbowl this season.
