Geeze I wish I had the cash right now, I really want a 60, or an R0. I prefer the slimmer neck.
Really like that top.

These 90- early 93 Classic 60 Re issues to me many are very magic , put side by side with a Standard of the same era. these smoke and its not just the tops , pickup and neck . Hmm Float a loan, :fingersx: I still look at Miss Honey, My 60 Re issue and think how lucky I was to get her

Thanks for the comments, Guys.
Don, this one's not a Classic.
The Classics came with uncovered 490 series (I think) pups.
These pups are 57 Classics with untouched solder joints.
Gibson confirms it to be a 60 Flametop Reissue, which differs from the Classic 60 Reissue. Confusing, huh?

In 92, Gibson added the Flametop Reissue to the Historic Series to help distinguish between the Flametop & Classic. In 93, the Classic's decal was changed to "Classic" instead of "Model" and the Classic became a product of Gibson USA,no longer a Custom Shop guitar.

FWIW: The 07 VG Price Guide shows Classics with tops like this to be worth $1700-$2700.

The Flametop Reissue is valued at $3500-$4500.

It's priced to move.

gotta pay the bills :(

Here's what Gibson had to say about the guitar when I checked it's pedigree......

I have a 92 Les Paul. I want to verify whether it's an LPCPP or 60 Flametop Reissue. The number is stamped in black ink 2 6562.
As you can see in the photo, the cavity markings were marked out with a magic marker before the guitar was finished, and the other markings (R6) entered at that time.

Thanks for your help.

Whats confusing here and most wont know the difference anyhow is that its ink stamped Serial beginning with the actual year manufactured The 57 Classics sound better than the 496/500T Combo, least the 500T anyhow,
