Well you know what they say, 'Give a man enough rope and' he'll perfectly bind a headstock! Great job as always B, she's looking sweeter than a honey dipped sugar cube! Really fine, if that guitar don't put lead in your pencil, you must be dead!

Regards,

Don

I swear Betty Page was the first thing to fire off in the brain pan when I seen this. Looks nice, Barnaby.

I mean all of it...not just the trussed up headstock. :D

You know the scene in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark where Belloq opens up the Ark and then says: Its beautiful. Well I couldn't find it on YT. So you'll just have to have a plain one. Its Beautiful. ;)

I noticed the Geisha Feet Binding class paid off too. :naughty:

A bit more work...time for tuner holes! These need to be drilled in stages. First, the guide hole is put in as accurately as possible.

Tunerholes1.jpg

After this, the holes for the bushings are created carefully by hand. The correct angle is crucial and there is a lot of checking and rechecking at this point.

Next, the holes for the tuner shafts are done.

Everything seems to line up properly. These are not the final tuners, but will do for a check.

That is looking gorgeous! :thumb:

Cheers! I'm hoping it will continue to do so as I get through the tricky final bits...it should be all together before I go to NZ next week, but, as I mentioned before, there won't be any lacquer on there because of the humidity.

Good thing the person who wants it seems to be patient. :D

A bit more...the dots are added to the side of the fingerboard. The holes are marked, awled, drilled and plugged with pieces of black plastic rod.

I'm not sure of those side dots... They seem like "side sticks" to me.
But what ever suits the one who's going to play that. :naughty:
