I've seen where BCRGreg (http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/members/bcrgreg.html)) makes a conversion for them that makes them usable. Here's a pic of his I found:

i'll think on the bridge for a little while

egg whites, here's how i did it, drywall mesh, probably 120 grit and a plastic sanding block

sanded

got the sludge goin on

after this dryed for a couple of hours it was hard and crusty, dry sanded it with 150 grit, looked great, very smooth, more on that later

i made this neck blank a few years ago, 2" wide, real nice genuine mahogany, light, after a few years it got a perfect little back bow

DSC06325.jpg

clamped into the neck straightning jig and to the robo sander, neck straight again

DSC06321.jpg

clamped on some ears

DSC06326.jpg

messed with the base of the neck a little bit

DSC06329.jpg

and it's only 2" wide so i added a little thickness to it

I tell you, Scatter, you always make the best joints.

...wait...that might sound bad...

You know what I mean.

Well, his favorite emoticon is the smoking slash smiley. lol. Great work as always Scatter. Its always fascinating that you have different ways of doing certain portions of the build. More than one way to skin a cat, I say.

I do enjoy scatter's style because its so ... raw. You dont need a million fancy tools; just a drill press! And the results speak for themselves. I love your router-planer scatter, would that work for uneven rough-saw wood as well (basically top and bottom uneven)? I was thinking of doing up a similar jig, any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

What's in the crock pot?
doing a little weight relief

back to the drill press and took out a pound of wood

was about a half inch short of Maple for a top but have some other "Genuine" Mahogany, hard as steel, kind of heavy, finger nail leaves no mark on this stuff, enough for a book matched top
