Well, he could be talking about a project in Arizona, building temporary housing for...Not a good time in the construction industry. Lots of people getting underbid by uhm,.......less then qualified labor.
What kind? Construction? That's as unpredictable as the weather.
About as stable as a three legged mule on roller skates.
There are markets like that which are booming. Denver and the Front Range sure are.Cabinet making. I don't think many houses are being built and I don't think a lot of people have the money to renovate their homes. I guess they also do a lot of CNC work there but there's not too many people experienced in their shop and I'm a machinist with a manual and CNC background.

Others are in the toilet. Pretty much depends.
So, you could do kitchen counter-tops, too, right? That business is booming out here. But all such things come and go. Depends on how long-term a view you need to take.
It depends were your at. If your near a large sea port like I am and can move your ass and have some skills you can work study most your life. Good luck
If your a cabinetmaker, you could always build custom Burst Amp Cabs,
like my 5F6-A 1959 Bassman 4x12.
I simply pull the chassis out of the Tweed 4x10 cab and go for the big sound
of the Celestion Blue 15 watt ALNiCo 12" speakers. This Flame maple Cab is solid, w/a baltic baffle.
There is always money in Hardwood cabs.
I like it, it looks great. I've always been a fan of any type of wood work ever since I was young when my dad got me a duck carved out of wood from one of his friends. I'm still amazed a piece of square wood and could have such a nice round shape.
learn to use the tools and its not hard =)
I can use tools but I'm only familiar with metal and not wood.
build a books shelf.
you will figure it out lol
