I almost pulled the trigger but..... I just could not take the chance on what it was, year etc..... and all the dings, rashes..besides... it has been around the block quite a few times and no one hopped on at 32k...

one way to tell is by the Truss Rod Cover.

if the guitar has a 3-screw TRC like the bottom right hand picture "TRC-8", then it is probably MIC. The MIJ Burnys have 2-screw TRCs.

Edit - I'm pretty sure they sell TRC-2 at Sydney Guitar Setups in Annandale. I bought one myself only a few weeks ago.

all the new Burnys have that TRC. Most are MIC now only a few high end ones are MIJ. the RLG-55 is MIC.

The RLG-55 is not as good as the old MIJ Burnys but compared to an Epiphone this one is still probably better than the Epiphone.
