not to be picky..no mention of the tuners not being original

Apparently, the Historic Double Line Tuners, bother him.
He changes them to Single Line (Small Hole) Tuners,
(Period Correct) on just about everything. I guess that's okay,
but he really needs to mention it in the sale, and maybe include
the originals in the case.

it appears that way. happy gilmour totally served one of the main guys with a very rational argument, which Historic Makeovers then agreed with. after a few smart-assed exchanges, poof!

Hey Fenn,

Would you please email me or PM me the rest of the story? I was following this one, but I took a couple of days off and I missed the ending!

Thanks!

on this yellow guitar...I wonder what else, besides the tuners, isn't original.

The top looks like it was re-finished. Don't you think it's a little too glossy and shiny for a stock Historic paint job ?

Hi Rod - From the images this looks to be one of less than 20 of a run of Butterscotch '59s in which Phillip Whorton (from Gibson Custom, best eyes for wood and the hardest working man in the custom guitar biz) and myself spent the day selecting the wood. This LP of yours should exhibit tone, balance and playability that compares to high end instrument crafted recently. It is a beauty. Congratulations!

Thanks Dave Carpenter
