I never claimed you did. It was mentioned in this thread and I noticed in that article. That is why I said 'speaking of' rather than 'the place John comes from'. I thought the tie in was pretty obvious.

Where's the straws, where's the straws... :laugh2: :D :dude:

What I meant to point out is that Gibson not just used a different address for Epiphone but that Epiphones were actually made in a different building from Gibsons which would have a different address for sure...

Yeah, when they had got all the equipment and tools from Epi, they soon moved Epi production to another site. But for a time Epis were made alongside Gibsons, workers doing a batch of one type, then a batch of the other. So, for example, the Epiphone Casinos that Beatles got were made alongside the Gibson ES-330 brand, only the headstock was different. This is in the worker interviews in Gil Hembree's book. A book I would recommend highly, as it is a fascinating insight to the Ted McCarty years.

Allow me to elucidate (go look it up in a dictionary!):
You preach to me about compensated saddles and intonation, and you can't even keep your guitar in tune for a whole song. And excuse it away by saying someone altered your tuner to A-441 instead of it being A-440! You're havin' a larf!!!

You stretch the bounds of credibility beyond reasonableness, my cockney gangster Pensioner... :laugh2: :D :dude:

Some feckin' HUGE straws you're clutching at here, matey!!!

Just checking if the old twat was actually awake and reading my posts. Throw the odd gaffe in and see if he spots it. He spotted it, but falls for the 'double' every time... :D :dude:

Playing your usual trick Vasco and trying to change the subject when caught out...Tut tut...

Sorry..You have well and truly 'NAiLED' yourself to the tree on this one....Big time..:laugh2:

In fact I feel another pre meet trial coming on.. ( That's if we can afford yet another award ).

All in one thread too.. First 'wonky saddles', then an obvious inability to be able to tell a Fender from a Gibson in a large coloured photo..

Twatsville indeed Sir...

My tuning gaff which I do not deny pales into insignificance compared to this latest classic.. :laugh2:

He's up to the same old trick he did when he got sentenced last year.. Pretending he said it on purpose..
Sorry Vasco that one wont wash with anyone in here any more, not even I doubt your defence lawyer onehippie. Even he'll have to wash his hands of this one..
You are doomed to recieving the award of forum Dummkopf for the third year running it seems.

A hat trick even your beloved Everton couldn't pull off..:laugh2:

Yep a great new forum slang word MineGoesTo11..:laugh2:...:applause:

If anyone makes a balls up in here in the future they don't need to know Cockney rhyme slang, all they have to say is "f*ck it..I've Scoused." :laugh2:

Does anyone know how you work those poll things in here.. I feel a 2012 trial by jury coming on again..

This year his honourable nob head is being accused of refering to compensated Telecaster bridge saddles as being 'Wonky ' and not knowing the difference between a Banjocaster as he refers to them as and a Les Paul.
A crime indeed coming from an anti Fender right wing extremist and self proclaimed expert on bridge set -ups.

We need a guilty and not guilty vote.

The accused 'Hieronymus Adolphus Vasco' of Norwich England, still it seems hasn't learned his lesson, even after being sentenced and punished for two years running and now holds contempt of court for even more cretinous comments not even worthy of a 14 year old newbie who bought his first guitar last week .

The crime?? .......Not knowing his arse from his elbow.'

A simple guilty or not guilty..

Should the defendant be found guilty yet again, a suitable punishment will be metered out at this years May meet and photos publicly displayed for all to see.

You have to scroll down when you're adding a new thread, there's a check box to add a poll to your thread.

i have no comment on wonky saddles that seem to be recycled co2 tubes over 6 separate saddles
..
i see phils infecting many to his ways in earnest
i have a nice shield then thrust maneuver for you to help clear his corruption from your minds adding day phil year these skills i set aside for the peoples vote
heres an award for phil the windbag of the year award when found guilty
i see no gain in the persuit of this trial all will be revealed if one were to occur
his throwing of a trial will find clear light and our Honourable Vasco Judge
would be elevated to innocent as should be and Phil being bestowed by his peers next meet
with said award
is this the course

Come on, John, Phil's playing a Les Paul in that pic. Or does "banjocaster" have hidden meanings? "Just wanted to see if you were paying attention" is what I say to my students when I make a mistake :slash:

I submit that a suitable punishment may be for him to be demoted to bass for the gig:
