A record producer friend arranged a short tour for me at Abbey Road Studios last week. It was quite busy, so I only got to stay for a few minutes. I did get to sit inside Studio 3...it was a religious experience! Unfortunately, no pics were allowed inside. Needless to say, it was very emotional, I was in tears. Here's my only photograph.

Facing the building, it's behind me and to the left from where I took the picture of the entrance.
Here's the crosswalk...from this photo, you can see the white studio building on the left in the background behind the wall and wrought iron fence. (took this photo last year). The black car is about where the Volkwagen was on the album cover.

Don't know how old you are, but I'm 50+, and this experience was awe inspiring - very nostalgic.

I'm only 27 so I probably don't get the whole thing, but some of the Beatles' music has really spoken to me like nothing else I've ever heard.

No, that was at The Beatles' Apple Corps Studio at No. 3 Saville Row.

I always thought the rooftop concert was at Abbey Road also.

But then again, the guy filming the footage incorrectly refers to the location as "Abbey Road Studios", which is (I believe) a couples miles away.

Man.... I can't imagine having that chance. I know that Abbey Road is very difficult to get entrance to, your record producer guy must have thought a lot about you to get you in there. It blows me away to see Alan Parsons and others talk about the days in Abbey Road. I can't think of any single place more relevant to rock music than that studio. Congrats man and thanks for sharing. You're one lucky chap.

Yep...as I said before, I felt like I was in church and whispered like I was in a library. I was struck by the thought that I was standing in the exact spot where all the great Beatles songs were rehearsed and recorded...I could hear it. My wife handed me a tissue!
