My roomates, girlfriends, friends, and family all think I'm OCD because all I do is shop for guitars, look at guitars online, or talk about guitars.

Meh.

Guitars are very important to me, but I try not to get to worked about them. I have lots of nice gear. I am more interested in my music, my next album, writing songs, practicing, those kind of things.

I dream every night with my next paul...then I buy it (if I can afford it)...then I look at her for hours...after a few weeks playing I start to think about the next paul...and it goes on and on...

Well, I´m gonna play now...and Stop thinking...

The times I play better, i´m thinking about everything but guitars...

I think about guitars a lot.............hmmm I wonder what a vintage 57-60 gat is like to play and compare that with my R0.
I'm always tinkering with the R0,taking out pups and trying other ones in there from time to time, stuffing up the soldering and trying to undo that also so that the pup selector switch and pups actually work how they should:eek2:

Im obsessed with guitars. The sound, playability, construction.

I prefer high end guitars but I love to go out there and check out what Korean companies are actually getting their shit together and making quality instruments.

Ive seen some good stuff from Schecter and Washburn Korean guitars, and ESP Ltd to a lesser extent. Probably good others out there but I haven't came across them yet.

I'm not super creative from a song writing perspective so I just have fun jamming out. I've been playing for 15 or so years but so I can play very well but creativity is another thing. I know I'll never be a rock star, hell I'm getting too old to be "cool" anyway.

That being said nothing will ever stop me from playing guitars and always seeking out the sound and feel of a "perfect" guitar.

I had it real bad for years until I got my 2005 standard. It replaced a '95 I had stolen. My other guitars never come out of their cases. Even my '76. I still spend waaaay to much time thinking about new gear. I just got a Peavey Classic 30 'cause it sounded real sweet. I'm just hoping my love affair with this axe will stand the test of time... or until some jackass decides to rip me off again.

My wife says I'm OCD... usually about guitars (but also about loading the dishwasher and that the toilet paper should come off the top of the roll) :)

I absolutely OBSESS over new guitars, so you are
very normal, ive been that way since my first Sears guitar
when i was 8.

When i got my first Marshall,
I used to sleep with my Marshall next to my bed so if i woke up
in the middle of the night i could admire it.......

Too funny!! I have my VOS R0 in the stand by my bed for the same reason. LMAO

Whenever I go on vacation, shopping at the mall with my wife, flea markets, garage sales, I am always on the lookout for guitars, gear, or guitar related stuff. My world revolves around it. You are not alone.

HOWEVER, I also flip-flop between having 17 guitars, and having JUST my favorite Guitar and my favorite Amp.

Anyone else do that..?

I will start collecting an arsenal and then decide to sell all but my favorite guitar and amp.

Right now I am in the "Favorite One" stage and I am selling everything but my Washed Cherry VOS R0 and my Marshall DSL201 with Groove Tubes and a Greenback. That's it.

I know how you feel. Months before I even had the money to buy my Classic, I would spend hours online looking at pics, stats, comparing, etc.. I would do the same thing on my lunch breaks at work and frequently stop off at Guitar Center and other music stores on the way home to play on them. I finally got my classic and now I'm doing the same thing with Marshall amps. My wife doesn't understand and says I can't get anymore Gibsons but that's what she said after my 2nd one!!!

Maybe something like this?!?! :naughty:

CA_Shine3.jpg

Nope I want the fireburst. But I would take yours.....

I really think all Paul should have the crown inlay and binding on the headstock - it looks so much better that way.
