Yep, Japanese Domestic market. It's a spectacular guitar, even has the correct headstock and truss cover shape.

What is that bridge?

THat's a bridge that comes on some of the Gretsch archtops. I think you can still buy them, maybe... My recollection is that it is made by Bigsby. At any rate, I have one & might be pried from my hands... Trades?

I wish they had a closeup of that bridge/tailpiece. It must be modded to stay in place like that. Maybe the bigsby was just mounted for the picture. It does look "untouched"

Yeah - it's probably just for the pic! I've never seen one with a tailpiece still mounted! Wonder if that works. . . (but I'm no expert whatsoever).
