Not so much.

Legal.
Illegal.

Pretty cut and dry, black and white. It's either legal, or illegal. Just because of lax enforcement doesn't change the fact that it's illegal.

How I'm glad that you're just a theorist.

Lend a car to a friend who blows a red light? GUILTY! No proof you were actually the wheelman, but hell, the state makes a buck.

I'm supposedly on the dickhead side of the law, and I know these methods are bullshit. But you, Mr. Civil Unrest, now wants to stick it to commuters going 7mph over the limit? In the name of law and order?

I doubt I'm the only one here who is amused.

I doubt you'll do it, but PM me for my email address and I can give you examples of emergency situations that make minor traffic infractions seem not that important in context.

Wrong. In statist/authoritarian systems (which are necessary to enforce socialism; and before you even bring it up, yes, you can have an authoritarian democracy where the majority tramples the rights of the minority), government abuse is so prevalent as to be the norm. In free societies, abuse (while it does happen) is the deviation from the norm. As a society progresses away from individual rights to authoritarianism/statism, abuses increase.

Wrong again. You can have a nation that is both democratic and socialist. It's called a social democracy.

So close, but so far.

While you may not be prosecuted for your actions, they are still illegal.

I just can't imagine wanting so much to be told what you can and cannot do. Hating individual freedom so much that you beg to be put in chains.

If we show lenience to those that ignore the law, then why have the law at all?

It is not your right to endanger the lives of others through recklessness. If you want the freedom to drive as you wish, then hold yourself to the responsibility of building your own road. If you cannot fulfill your obligation to obey traffic laws, you do not deserve to partake in the use of public roads.

Actually, I'm correct. A social democracy tends to be authoritarian in nature, but instead of a centralized elite trampling individual rights, the brainwashed majority tramples individual rights. Just because people vote, doesn't mean you don't have a heavy-handed state apparatus.

If you do it willingly, than you are not being trampled.

Yeah! Let's stick it to the brazen criminal rushing his dying child to the hospital! After all, he shouldn't have taken matters into his own hands. That's the place of the professionals, not him. How dare he usurp the role of the state by not waiting for an ambulance! The sacrifice of only one child's life is well worth the preservation of the authority of the state!

Here in Tucson, people drive very slowly when approaching a red light camera intersection, then when the light changes they race across the intersection, idiots!

I just wish these people would get the hell out of my way. They slowdown for green lights and race towards the red lights around here.

More money for your precious, beloved, all-powerful government. Might as well go ahead and make everything illegal, so that our very existence is solely at the grace of our beloved state. I love Big Brother.

Why do you hate the law so much? If you want a place without rule of law, you're welcome to move to Somalia.

There is a difference between rule of law and government abuse. It's a difference you apparently are unable to discern. You have absolutely no understanding of the concept that the people need to control the government, not the other way around.

Do you know a lot of people living hand to mouth?

Do you know a lot of people capable of navigating an occupied thoroughfare at high speeds under high stress?

If you don't like America you can get out. There are plenty of other countries, I'm sure you can find one to your liking.
