Amanda Knox, opinions?

Living in the Seattle area I've heard ALLOT about this over the last several years. My understanding is that the prosecutor in this case has committed some very questionable actions in the past.

Not really. He said he would hit it before she sliced his throat open. Based on the excerpts from her diary, which she does not deny (she sued for invasion of privacy over the revelation of those excerpts but has never denied their authenticity - only that publishing them invaded her privacy), the girl isn't exactly a paragon of virtue and is not exactly above having sex with strangers (one of the excerpts from her own diary dealt with her meeting some random guy on a train journey and doing him on that train not long after meeting him) so making a crack about dropping a load on her chin isn't exactly out of line and is far from the worst sexual comment that has appeared here on MLP.

Oh spare me. By her own admission the girl is very far from virginal and is therefore open to jokes. If we can't make jokes like that about her I guess we can't make jokes about Charlie Sheen and hookers either? As I said, spare me.

Read "The Monster of Florence". (Not about AK, but she does come up in it briefly.)

The book is about a serial killer in Florence who went uncaught for decades. The prosecutor and police investigating the crimes were incompetent and more interested in furthering their own careers than seeking true justice.

Some of those same people are involved in the AK case.

I don't believe she's guilty of this crime for a second.

From the articles I've read there just seems to be not enough evidence to convict. Unless you count the signed confession that was made under severe duress. Lack of food,water,bathroom breaks,didn't speak the language,her interpreter was a joke,hit over the head repeatedly,didn't know the actual charges,Oh,and no lawyer present. All alleged of course but the confession should be thrown out.

I watched the piece 20-20 did on the case on Friday night and the evidence
that they have really is just the Prosecutor trying to save his career. They have the murderer and added her on to save face. The verdict will let us
know how good a system they have. They already took 4 years from her.
