That's going to look amazing with the heel carved, too. The stripes will blend right into the curve, making all non-luthiers think "How the f%&k did he do that?"

The maple came in today.

It has some really nice figuring to it, better than I expected.
I hope there's no surprises lying beneath the surface of this one.

Any surprises will be good ones, I'm sure. That's great looking wood and I bet you do a perfect top from it.

I wish I could get maple here for a decent price...it's the postage that's the killer.
