I had a replica built at ShamRay two years ago before I knew all the guys in the states. I supplied all the wood, and they did all the crafting. The top is from Curlymaple.com, The 75 year old Braz came from a Wood shop in Williamsburg Virginia, as well as the light weight Mahogony. The headstock has the Name Hurricane in Abolone. Dave Johnson inlays. RS guitarworks electronics. Now it has a PAT NO pickup in the Bridge and a T-top in the neck. Hope you like. This picture was from a Russian guitar show before it got shipped to me.

Great looking top on that one MF... how does it compare tone-wise with all your other beauties?

Probably one of the most Mahogony sounds you will get out of a paul. it's very low range thumpy I guess you could say. Since I put the T-top in the neck and a PAt NO in the bridge it really balances out the tone. I have the early RS stuff and I am going to get the FAke58 harness which I have in another ShamRay guitar. The pots and Bumble bees have a really awesome dynamic from them. Because the guitar was so low range I took off the PigtailMusic Aluminum Bridge off of the Red guitar in my avitar and put it on the Hurricane and it made all the difference in the world. Every note articulate. The Red guitar is a 52/58 conversion with P90's. The Aluminum bridge on the conversion did not sound that good, due to the P90's and how the P90's are spaced. The Bridge construction is incredible though, very tight saddles. I ordered the zinc/nickle that they offer for the conversion.

This is your guitars sister it a 54 copy three piece top, they share the same neck wood and Back wood. I did this because almost all 54's have three piece tops. Remember yor neck used to be mine that was going on another project.

This has real 50's P90's in her, and 54 knobs.
