Thanks for the kudos, Malikon! For some reason, I really like the look of the Honey Burst Plain Tops myself. And the price was so good I couldn't pass it up... $325 shipped.

This is my first Epiphone Les Paul, and I gotta tell ya, I really have no idea how Gibson could improve enough on this guitar to call it a Gibson. This guitar is top quality, excellent craftmanship and plays like a $3000 guitar. I just might have to buy another one. 8)

ebay...the starting bid was $250; I could see that other potential buyers were asking a lot questions about the guitar, so I hit the 'BUY IT NOW' button for $300, and the rest is history. Even at $300 I got a great deal. As far as I'm concerned, this guitar would have been a steel from a retailer at $500.

Very nice...I've always liked the plus tops. Where does 'Elite' style fall in the series of Epiphone Les Pauls? Above Standard somewhere I'm guessing?

Just purchased this guitar from Sarasota Guitar Company in Sarasota Florida. great people there, really good down to earth cats workin there. I encourage everybody to check them out, they really give you the bang for your buck (and no im not tryin to advertise them, lol)

2010 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Shop/ Limited Edition. (should have some more pics soon) picture taken out in the sun to really get the burst showin. He described it as tobacco burst, but i believe it could be different. its equipped with burstbuckers (bb2 in the neck, bb3 in the bridge) should have more pics posted soon. this is how it looked right off, i plan to string the strings over the tailpeice.

My new LP 56 Goldtop that I just got this week. I have been wanting a Les Paul for a while now and actually picked up a Kramer LP copy years ago that I gave to my son to play. It was ok to play and I could do some good drop D rock with it, but the P90's on this thing really have a full beautiful sound on clean which blows away my Ibanez for clean sound. My Ibanez is a screemer on the gain channel, but I wanted something for Country and Blues as well as drop D, and my Ibanez just can't hack it compared to this Goldtop. This has some good bite on the gain channel and is actually has a good full sound, but still extreamly different than the Ibanez which does literally scream. This 56 really plays smooth and I can play it for hours and just love to hear the beautiful tone through my Bugera tube.
