I have owned a few FujiGen example Orville Les Paul models but have never owned any Terada examples, and have never owned any Orville by Gibson examples.
Here is a 1998 FujiGen made Orville solid top, with a tobacco ‘burst top color finish.
The top has quite a bit of flame & figure, much more easily seen in person than in photos.
The body & neck both are constructed with quartersawn mahogany; the neck being 1 piece, and the body back being 2 piece & just slightly off-set from center seam.
This one weighs in at the high 8 lb. range, which IMO is about a perfect weight for a Les Paul.
Since this is a 1998 example, this would be near the end of Orville production, transitioning into the Epi Japan era stuff.
Enjoy the pics ………………
crappy indoor flash pic
1998 FugiGen serial # ............
2 piece body back - seam is off center by < 1/2" - both mahogany pieces are quartersawn
