Ape: I just recently picked this up, and from what I've gathered it's from a special run of Trans Black LP's Epi did in '07 (it has the Epi Custom Shop logo, etc.) Haven't looked but the pups seem to be stock Epi's unless the previous owner swapped them but the dude really wasn't the type (said he bought the guitar, played for a few days and on a stand it sat until I got it from him on CL for $200.)

If you or anyone else knows anymore about the pups (if Epiphone installed better pickups for the model, etc.) let me know. They sound really nice, better than other EpiLP's I've played but I chalked it up to the variables in the Epi's from jumpstreet...some are much better than others. I've been meaning to change strings again so I'll take some pics if there's anything interesting.

Pennyman: I've seen that grey ghost of yours before on the site I think, it's really nice. I dig those silverburst/grey/black finishes!

heres my 08 epi black beauty.ive rewired it for 3 vol 1 tone and i put in some vitamin Q's.its a beautiful guitar, but i will admit the pickups are pretty weak and all pretty much sound the same.soon ill bbe swapping them with some duncans hopefully.

Hi guys, here's mine. The Black Beauty has Seymour Duncan A2Pro bridge/Phat Cat middle/59 neck. Sounds incredible.
The honeyburst I just got yesterday, needs some 59s in it I think!
