American billionaire Elon Musk has been nominated for the Nobel Prize. He was recognized for his contributions to the defense of free speech and human rights, according to a post by European Parliament member Branko Grims on Facebook.

According to the deputy, the petition for awarding Elon Musk the Nobel Peace Prize for 2025 was submitted on January 29.

"For his consistent commitment to the fundamental human right to freedom of expression, and thus to peace," wrote Grims.

He also expressed gratitude to all co-authors of the petition and those who helped with this challenging project.

Buying Twitter was a game changer.

I was never a Musk fan, but seeing the seismic implications of that made me give him a bit more thought.

And I say this as someone who doesn’t personally use any social media.

If true......It might bring back some of the integrity back to that once distinguished award. He has brought starlink communication to war torn Ukraine and to several natural disasters. Hes currently putting together a rescue mission for those 2 astronauts because NASA is behind the 8 ball. Very well deserved. For a change...........

I'm sure we can all agree that his company's work with Electric Vehicles has been positively transformative for the human race. Right?
Laugh.....Im no EV spokesman.......I live to hear 500 ponies from my LT1 V8.....Im no golf cart person. But in 100-200 yrs Musk will be remembered with Edison, Franklin, throughout History.

Annnnnnd this is the world in which we now unfortunately live, at least for the next few years. Sad but true.

The prize just got devalued not unlike most other things nowadays. Totally meaningless.

Aren't single item door deliveries a huge impact on congestion and pollution. Mass consumerism in general is the true cause of all waste not only in the item, but the pollution created in making it and its delivery.

Just got devalued?

Like just last week it was SO noble and magnificent? Nobel Prize has been a pathetic mockery for a couple decades now.
I don’t think Musk did it any damage.
