Can you bring yours outside for a photo under natural light ? I think we'd appreciate better how nice it is.

Here’s another shot. Haven’t taken it outside to get a picture yet but here’s better light.

I saw that video today, nice guitar. But... at 12k-14k, I think I will pass and am very happy with my 59 at under 1k. haha

Hi There,

New to the forum today, this is my first post.
Just thought I'd share some pics of my own Lazarus received this week.
I'm seeing a lot of stores saying discontinued, does anyone know how many were actually released?

Thanks,

I was lucky with this one the others I saw were either too plain or too heavy.
This one suits me weight wise at 8.6lbs and has a great top.
I had a 1959 in darkburst and always thought a lemon burst would be cool.
This is as close as I'll get
The weight and neck are identical to the 59 I had.
I'm more a Peter Green and Gary Moore fan but I can't deny that Joe knows his way around a Les Paul inside and out.

Good luck with your new guitar.

Beautiful guitar, though mine has a terrible buzz at the 5'th fret on the 3 lower strings.
Leave it up to Epiphone - I had to return my 335 for the same reason, not wanting to spend extra $ on a new guitar.
Hopefully a set-up will set things straight (though I thought I paid for that upon purchasing.)

Best top yet! Age that shiny hardware and she's a winner. :dude:

Yep, it will take a long time to age, but they do look great just the way they come. Just like a few have mentioned, aged hardware will make them look much better.

there's one good positive outcome from this guitar being released and people's attention being on this one now
The waiting times for the 59 standard should now come down

I've seen pictures of polished Lazarus's and those look great as the flames seem to pop out better. If I'd had a better figured top I think I'd give it a try.

When keeping mine I think I'd go the other route to let her wear in naturaly and with that get her more to the aged look of the real Lazarus. Regarding hardware I think it's definitely worth swapping to less gloss (that's an aged Faber Aluminium Tailpiece I currently have in another LP):

Is it possible to age stock hardware? I would imagine that fine sanding paper or steel wool will make chrome elements on this guitar look aged.

From my experience chrome parts are not as easy to get aged the way to look right. It's much easier with nickel plating to me.
Didn't I see someone have his bridge floating above vinegar in a closed pot for a couple of hours and it kind of aged it ?

Thinking it was on a nickel bridge though ...

Yes, works great with nickel. Never had luck on Chrome. Probably you have to break the plating first and then it might work. Never tried.
Scotch Brite does work on chrome. Differently but it gets rid of the mirror.

Bikers do it

All this talk and all these photos finally got to me. I kept watching, and GC and musicians friend showed them in stock yesterday for a very short while. I pulled the trigger, and got an order confirmation. Later in the evening, they both showed backordered again. I fully anticipate that they’re going to contact me any minute and tell me they don’t actually have it, they did that to me with the 1959.

That's a bummer,

The stores in UK are mostly saying discontinued like Anderson's and Gak or available to order only.
So I assume there is still stock floating around.
Hopefully you'll be lucky and pick one up.
I haven't been able to find any information on the quantity released but they sold out in UK in only two weeks.
If that's the last of them then it must have been a very limited release.
Does anybody have numbers?
Will there be more released?
