For those of you have have Sirius XM radio, what are your 6 presets?

Mine:

1) The Spectrum
2) Lithium
3) Classic Vinyl
4) Pearl Jam Radio
5) Deep Tracks
6) Ozzy's Boneyard

The Spectrum is my favorite. They play the best of both new and old rock music. Lithium is my bread and butter for 90's alternative but the DJ's and inbetweens are annoying. Classic Vinyl for classic rock and good DJ's. Pearl Jam radio because they're one of my favorite bands and air great live performances. Deep Tracks for good songs from popular artists that aren't as popular. Ozzy's Boneyard for heavy classic rock and old Sabbath.

Bluesville, 80s, Love Songs, Classic Vinyl, Hair Nation, The Patriot. I use those as a basic starting point and go up and down around them.

I only listen to Ozzy's Boneyard (most of the time if at all) and then Hair Nation. Since they are just 1 click up or down, I don't need presets.

Octane was the only music station that I listened to with any consistency. I'd occasionally hit the Grateful Dead channel (for a walk down memory lane), but they always had some pretentious prick who was an expert babbling on about minutiae.

I much prefer doing Pandora or Spotify via aux (I turn bluetooth off because it is so f*cking annoying to have my music interrupted by a million texts from my ex).

I will say that I got a kick last night when I picked up my 15 year old daughter and a girlfriend of hers and she hooked up her phone and started blasting Five Finger Death Punch (they are on my approved list).

...but the DJ's and inbetweens are annoying...

All of the DJs on every station are annoying. There is some tool with the stage name of "Grant Random" on Octane who takes annoying to a new level. It's like a high school kid saying inappropriate stuff for the sake of being inappropriate and thinking that it is funny. The music selections are mostly driven by algorithms. There is no need for moronic banter between songs. A f*cking iPOd can do the job for crying out loud. This garbage is a large part of why I didn't renew, this year.

We had a 1 year subscription......

The digital compression really killed it for me.....

I have a life time membership, I never did a preset thing. I can't figure that out but I have the rest of my lift to get on that one. I get a nagging cough I will hope right on that baby.

I have ten initial presets, but they're always changing.

There's just too much good stuff I'm discovering. I find something new, and I decide to make it a preset. Then I find something else I dig.

There are a few constants. Outlaw country is always one of them. Very diverse channel, mostly what you'd hear from a good band in a good bar.

Guitar-driven rock n roll may be a thing of the past on typical FM broadcast radio, but is is alive and well on Sirius XM. Without Sirius, I'd have thought it was dead, what with the total lack of airplay.
