What is the shortest time you've went between refret jobs...

i'm talking from a new LP, or between refrets. that the LP's frets need to be replaced.

pics would be good too.

i've only had to refret 3 guitars. '86 Lp custom, then sold it. ' LP 80 standard (twice), and a '67 tele, then sold it.

8 years was the soonest i had to refret again due to the wear on the frets.

edit: just to clarify that the guitar(s) needs new frets.

I can usually refret a guitar in 2 hours. Provided no re-radius is needed and the fretboard is not warped. I have my system down after doing dozens of refrets.

The closest thing to a re-fret I've ever encountered was a fret dressing. That was on a 1956 Strat. My LPs only go back to the late sixties, and have never needed anything other than an ocasional set-up.
