I've read quite a few cool threads on this site, but MLP is so huge that it can be difficult to find things -- especially in the sub-forums. For this reason I thought I'd start a "recommended reading"-thread where people can make others aware of topics, which they had found interesting, funny, informative, bizarre, etc.. Here are a few suggestions from me:

http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/backstage/173554-attn-original-members-tell-tale-mlp.html Just like the title says, this one is about the formative years of MLP.

http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/my-other-guitars/165155-infernal-machine-going-back-old-religion.html I found this thread by accident, and I'm glad I did. Ostensibly it's about building a Strat, but I have the impression that there's more going on here than meets the eye...:hmm:

http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/backstage/150468-lets-make-meatballs-marinara.html All Roberteax's threads are worth reading, but if you like to cook, you should definitely check this one out. Some trade secrets of making Italian tomato sauce are revealed here.

That's my attempt at a "short list", but my question is: Which threads would you recommend to others?

The Hunterburst began as EPIC and turned into LOST.
Frampton LPC recovery was cool.
64 LP/corey a classic.

The Leonidas photoshopping thread was funny as hell too.

Can't beat the transvestite groupie one listed above though......

The "original members" thread was one I started on a whim. I'm thrilled that it turned into such an epic piece of MLP history. It was just good timing being around the holidays, I think, and folks remained calm and civil. In the end, some folks made amends with each other, some old members came back home, and the new members got to really understand how this wonderful place came to be.

its some build threads here that are impressive enough that they could be considered "books" in themselves!

i never post in those sections as i dont have much to offer when it comes to lutherie. i do love looking though the build threads and the pictures though.
