Good night for Aurora viewing. Cloud cover is projected to minimal over MN Saturday night. My favorite spot for that is about 3 hours north of here (lake and large national forest with few artificial light sources to the north)

Of course I have a Halloween gig an hour and half south of here. That'd be a long drive post-gig. Projected numbers are that it might even be visible down there, though.

Ive been following this. Scary shit. Top Men at NASA just released a findings report. Its just a theory at this point. But a very good one. Its fn science.
I may be caused by Guitar players using FART stop pedals. Apparently the particular Fart sound wave forms from Earth with the over use of the FART Boxes somehow over excited the sun.
PM @Olds442 for Classified Deetz.

All i know as a lay man is the sky is gonna be very closer to us.

with the bZ nearly flat, you prolly won't see much if anything unless you're waaaaay up north. Like mostly north of where the people live in Canuckistan. You won't see anything with the naked eye in the lower 48 unless you really know what you're looking at. Predictions are now talking about it arriving Saturday night/Sunday morning, but that can change at any time. Solar wind is even tougher to predict than atmospheric wind. They are really just guessing until things start hitting the satellites.

Still, it'd be cool to get another show like we had earlier this month.
15 or so years ago we had a storm that had them visible as far south as San Diego, but yes... you had to know exactly what to look for, and light pollution blocked it from any populated area.
Nothing spectacular... it was just a dim red glow on the northern horizon.
