Eta is tomorrow. Should be interesting.

The other day in the radio they were talking about some of these and the bursts from planets and stars that have exploded a million or two light years away from us, they think some of these bursts will hit us in our lifetime and could be catastrophic.

I don’t know the technical term for it but it certainly sounded bad

Look up the Carrington event. Fun stuff.

one can only imagine what they haven’t found yet.
Couvier, Hapgood, many others have keyed in on the 12k year cycle of the sun/earth. but that was the 1950s and all that info has been hushed ever since.

think, really big solar flare, darkness for days, all the electric grid toasted, the earth tilts over 90 degrees, then back again, yeah - fun stuffs.
Will my acoustic guitar still work?
only if it did prior.

ISS is not a good place to be in an event like this, i just read. Without the protection of the ozone layer, you can get fried.Potential radiation sickness.Radiation meters will be pinned. Maybe a good time to take a quick flight back to good old terra firma.

Funny there was a big one like this 4 months ago. Saturday/sunday is arrival time for this new one, apparently.See what happens,if anything.

with the bZ nearly flat, you prolly won't see much if anything unless you're waaaaay up north. Like mostly north of where the people live in Canuckistan. You won't see anything with the naked eye in the lower 48 unless you really know what you're looking at. Predictions are now talking about it arriving Saturday night/Sunday morning, but that can change at any time. Solar wind is even tougher to predict than atmospheric wind. They are really just guessing until things start hitting the satellites.

Still, it'd be cool to get another show like we had earlier this month.
