Believe me when people fight on live, its usually nothing serious at all. It's usually people just bored that wanna push other people's buttons for humor, or they're just mad they lost/died/etc. When I play live and chat, usually everyone argues and just ends up laughing it up at some point. This story is a huge surprise, and I suspect there is much more to the story than just an online argument.
multiplayer is annoying and repetitive, I still prefer the campaign on 90% of the games I play.
I get pissed when the campaign is only a few hours and you realize all the game development went into the multiplayer aspects of the game. I always feel ripped off and like I just threw my money away.
Or should I post an entire paragraph questioning why you stated exactly what you did?
Ask you to qualify, quantify and confirm your observations?
Maybe wax philosophical about why a news story with such a sensational slant actually comforts some people - as the research over the years has confirmed it does. "Glad that's not ME," and what not, eh?
One, the backstory regarding the relationship between the assailant and victim.
Played down at first, to make it tawdry (for viewers) and random (fear-mongering).
Second was the video - this is to ensure that there is a "human interest" aspect to the story.
NOBODY wants to read anymore - gotta spoon-feed 'em.
Personally, I wish news stories would read more clinically - like a police report.
Remember Jack Webb?
Joe Friday on Dragnet?
A comprehensive report - with all the Who/What/When/Where/Why and How are answered?
Do that well, and there's really no need for the sh!t we now have as news.
But people don't want to be informed about a story.
Throw a few eye-catching items in it, and they will be glad it's not them in the story.
Mission accomplished.
I stated at the top that I know next to nothing about the whole gaming thing.
I clearly solicited input and information from others who do.
Looked like a good way to do it.
Still do.
And I'm flattered that your human duty compelled you to involve yourself here.
I don't think entertainment was the attraction.
