I was watching this Edwards E-LP-130LTS/RE which until yesterday had a BIN price of $1160, but today it's up to $1329! :wow:

ESP Edwards LP Super Flamed Relic DUNCAN Tobacco Long T - eBay (item 380269009803 end time Oct-14-10 04:51:33 PDT)

The exact same thing happened with this other 130LTS/RE from the same seller (ESP Edwards LP Super Flamed Relic DUNCAN Lemon Drop NEW - eBay (item 270639505004 end time Oct-23-10 19:02:29 PDT)), yet all his other prices stayed the same. :hmm:

First I thought it was a USD/JPY currency re-calculation, but certainly that's not the case. Anyone got any ideas? I was seriously thinking of buying it, because its price in Euro was the same as for a Gibson Studio, but now, after shipping and importing into Europe it'll end up in Traditional territory.

Louie, that is a bit odd with the price change. I have a recently acquired Lemonburst 130 that has minimal play/wear. With some other recent Les Paul purchases recently I can make it available if you are interested. Let me know here and I will send you a PM.

Thanks for the offer wulfman, but I'm only interested in the Tobacco Burst 130LTS. Please PM me if you find one for a good price, thanks!

who knows but this is their store
GROOVIN WEB STORE
I looked at that one and they'll play ball with low value on a customs form
It may also be because it's now sold out anywhere else I can find it?

Well, I admit defeat. I can't find a cheap Tabacco 130 except for this one on Rakuten which you need to register for. It is at Kurosawa gakki though, and they do deal internationally.

I also see this Lemonburst going low on Yahoo Auctions so far, but there are 3 hours left. My prediction would be about 65,000 yen for this one since the antiquity pickups alone care about 30,000 if sold separately here.

If you are intersted in a 98LTS tobacco burst there is one at Guitar Shelter for a good price. If you put some antiquities in there you have more or less the same thing minus the relicing and the US electronics.

I saw one recently but it must have sold already. Good luck, they are great guitars.

Thankf for the help, wulfman! I'll keep a lookout on the regular eBay dealers from JP, maybe another one will pop up soon.

Dear slapshot,

Because Japanese Yen is very expensive between Yen and US$ recently, But If you purchased this one soon, I can sell at $1160 plus shipping $140 total $1300. Would you consider it this one?
Thank you so much.

Yasuo of Groovin

That's what I thought I've been watching the currency markets a lot lately. They're even predcting parity with the US$ by march next year

I knew there was something I forgot yesterday - that Yahoo auction. I have one already but at that price it would almost have been worth it for the pickups and parts...of course the winner may have gone alot higher than that.

Edwards are great value, used or new. I just got an Edwards Les Paul Special DC, not made anymore, still had all all original protective plastic on everything. Looks like it was never played. NGD report coming soon....
