Long shot, but after a couple near misses I figured I'd ask if anyone has one that they may be thinking of selling. Hit me up with a price and some photos.

Good luck in the hunt. :thumb:

You do obviously know there will be a HUGE variation in neck sizes from a R8 to R0, right?

I would put a WTB ad up at TGP too. You may get some offers over there. :thumb:

Thanks; yeah, that's a pretty wide range on the neck, but I haven't come across too many R9's in black, so I've gotta be open to the other two ends of the spectrum. I've had enough of them to know what I'm getting myself into. :thumb:

There was an ebony R0 on the 'bay last night.
I think I saw that one too, but if it is the one that was refretted, I've checked into that one and moved on. Thanks for the heads up, though.:dude:

About a month ago there was an awesome one here for sale. Had tons of upgrades as well and was also made available without them Search the classifieds and send a pm. I don't remember it selling but could be wrong.

I remember that one.
Basically, the Sam Ash version of the G0.
I believe that the only black Historic R0's ever, were these from Sam Ash.

They sold brand new for $2850, IIRC, and he was asking like $3250 (?) for it.
So, apparently, they have appreciated quite a bit.

j-co, as you know, there are black R9's in the form of CC#34 "Black Burst", but that's a whole 'nuther price point.....like, 3X the cost.

You've got that right, Mark. $6,800 isn't in the budget right now.

Too bad the Librarian got sold; that would have been cool too.

:laugh2: No...I would have treated that llike a rental. I'd have played with it for a while, and let you buy it back after the biz takes off. It wouod have cost you some hot sauce, though. :laugh2:

No painting that one bud; that was a smoking looking guitar.
