You do obviously know there will be a HUGE variation in neck sizes from a R8 to R0, right?

Thanks; yeah, that's a pretty wide range on the neck, but I haven't come across too many R9's in black, so I've gotta be open to the other two ends of the spectrum. I've had enough of them to know what I'm getting myself into.

I think I saw that one too, but if it is the one that was refretted, I've checked into that one and moved on. Thanks for the heads up, though.

I remember that one.
Basically, the Sam Ash version of the G0.
I believe that the only black Historic R0's ever, were these from Sam Ash.

They sold brand new for $2850, IIRC, and he was asking like $3250 (?) for it.
So, apparently, they have appreciated quite a bit.

j-co, as you know, there are black R9's in the form of CC#34 "Black Burst", but that's a whole 'nuther price point.....like, 3X the cost.

No...I would have treated that llike a rental. I'd have played with it for a while, and let you buy it back after the biz takes off. It wouod have cost you some hot sauce, though.

No painting that one bud; that was a smoking looking guitar.
